To BPL's Yamacraw Customers:

Our crews are working to restore power to you as safely and quickly as we can.

Rain and storm surge in your area damaged a number of low voltage underground cables that are used to provide power to your homes. Even if the damaged cables were usable, We CANNOT energize those cables as it could result in electrical fires, damage to your appliances and electronics, and even worse someone could be seriously injured. That is not a risk BPL will take.

As an alternative, teams are working to either replace the affected cables or to bypass them using temporary overhead lines until the cablles can be replaced. We know you have been without power for some time but our teams are working.
