Police report two more murders

A man was found shot to death on Lincoln Boulevard early Saturday, police said.

According to Chief Superintendent Ashton Greenslade, the man was a resident of Miami Street.

He added that the man was known to police.

Police also reported that a man died after he was shot when he became involved in an argument with another man near a nightclub off S. C. Bootle Highway, Murphy Town, Abaco.

Police said they arrested two men in connection with that murder.

The murder count now stands at 78 for the year. This time last year the murder count stood at 122.

Police also reported other shootings in recent days.

The first occurred shortly after 7 a.m. on Friday at Moncur Alley, off Kemp Road.

Police said a man was standing in front of his home when another man armed with a handgun approached and shot him before fleeing in a silver Honda Fit with the license plate number 320478.

The second shooting occurred shortly before 11 p.m. Friday on Miami Street.

Police said two men were involved in an argument that led to one being shot.

The shooter then fled on foot.

The final incident occurred shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Saturday at a nightclub on Fox Hill Road and Sugar Hill Road.

Police said a man was shot during an altercation with another man. A male and female bystander at the club were also shot.

The three victims were transported to hospital where they remained in stable condition.
