GENERAL SITUATION: A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE NW BAHAMAS SATURDAY MORNING AND THE SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE CENTRAL AND SE BAHAMAS THROUGH SUNDAY. MEANWHILE A BROAD LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM EAST AND NORTHEAST OF THE BAHAMAS WILL PRODUCE SOME UNSETTLED WEATHER OVER PARTS OF THE BAHAMAS AS IT MOVES NORTHWARD THROUGH FRIDAY. ANOTHER COLD FRONT WILL ENTER THE NW BAHAMAS BY WEDNESDAY FOLLOWED BY BUILDING HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE AREA.

Thursday 20th – Partly cloudy to cloudy and warm with few scattered showers or isolated thunderstorms over portions of the Bahamas. Maximum Temperature 88°F and Minimum Temperature 74°F. Small Craft caution in effect for the NW Bahamas. Winds N’ly at 15 to 20 knots in the NW Bahamas, W TO NW at 10 to 15 knots, falling light and variable at times in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 4 to 7 feet over the NW Bahamas and 2 to 4 feet across the Central and SE Bahamas but higher in moderate to large NE’ly swells.

Friday 21st – Cloudy periods with scattered showers near or over the NW and Central Bahamas, Partly cloudy and hot with few scattered showers or isolated thunderstorms over parts of SE Bahamas. Maximum Temperature 86°F and Minimum Temperature 73°F. Winds NW’ly at 10 to 15 knots but gusts to 20 knots in the NW Bahamas, W to NW at 10 to 15 knots in the Central Bahamas and W to SW at 5 to 10 knots, falling light and variable at times in the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW Bahamas and 3 feet or less in the Central and SE Bahamas with moderate to large mixed swells.

Saturday 22nd – Partly to mostly sunny and warm with few passing showers becoming fair and mild at night over most islands. Cloudy periods with scattered showers and thunderstorms over or near Inagua. Maximum Temperature 84°F and Minimum Temperature 72°F. Winds NW to N at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas and variable at 10 knots or less in the Central and SE Bahamas . Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW Bahamas and 3 feet or less in the Central and SE Bahamas with moderate to large mixed swells.

Sunday 23rd – Partly cloudy to fair skies and mild conditions with the slight chance of light rain to moderate showers mainly near the front. Maximum Temperature 82°F and Minimum Temperature 72°F. Small craft should exercise caution for all areas. Winds N to NE at 15 to 20 knots in the NW Bahamas and N to NE at 10 to 15 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas increasing to 15 to 20 knots by mid morning with higher gusts at times. Seas 4 to 7 feet in the NW Bahamas and 2 to 4 feet building to 4 to 7 feet by afternoon in the Central and SE Bahamas with moderate to large mixed swells.

Monday 24th – Partly sunny, warm and breezy with passing showers during the day. Fair and breezy at night with few passing showers. Maximum Temperature 81°F and Minimum Temperature 74°F. Small craft caution remains in effect for all areas with an advisory in the SE Bahamas during early morning. Winds NE’ly at 15 to 20 knots across entire Bahamas. Seas 4 to 7 feet over all areas with moderate to large mixed swells.

Tuesday 25th – Partly cloudy, breezy and warm with the chance of few scattered showers or an isolated thunderstorm through the night. Maximum Temperature 87°F and Minimum Temperature 76°F. Small craft should exercise caution over entire Bahamas with periodic advisories during period. Winds NE to E at 15 to 20 knots but higher in gusts over entire Bahamas. Seas 4 to 7 feet over all areas with moderate to large mixed swells.

Wednesday 26th – Partly cloudy to cloudy, breezy and warm with periods of scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms near front. Maximum Temperature 87°F and Minimum Temperature 73°F. Small craft advisory for entire Bahamas. Winds NE to E at 15 to 25 knots across the entire Bahamas. Seas 5 to 8 feet over the entire Bahamas with moderate to large N’ly to NE’ly swells.
