Down days

Fri, Aug 12th 2016, 12:15 AM

Now when we awake each and every morning, we should first and foremost give thanks to the Creator for the gift of life and the opportunity to make the coming day into a very successful, productive and enjoyable one. Yes indeed, one's overall attitude at the beginning of the day is most important, and can set the tone so to speak for the coming day. However, let's face it, in spite of the fact that we may be extremely joyful and indeed very optimistic upon awakening, we will experience from time to time down days as stated in today's title.
So the question is this -- what do you do when things start to go terribly wrong on any given day? Do you allow the negative people and events which occur to drag you down mentally into the depths of negativity, hopelessness and ultimate failure, or do you stay in control of your emotions, weather the storm so to speak, and thus manage to turn what could have become an utterly disastrous day into one which in the end is not too bad at all?
Yes my friend, as I wrote about some time back, life ain't easy. No it's not. However, it's a test of what you're actually made of, and so often in life, it's the difficult times which in the end bring out the very best in us, whilst building character. Yes, we all have down days, however, it's what we make of these down days which is the key to our future success or failure.
Yes my friend, I'll go so far as to state, that the true test of anyone is ultimately how they behave when they encounter those inevitable down days. Do you allow them to get you down then stay down, or do you deal with the problem, psych yourself up and move on in a positive, determined way to finally gain the prize? I sincerely hope and pray it's the latter.
