The Bahamas Beach Soccer National Squad took on the #4 ranked Tahitian National Team in a friendly match on Wednesday evening.

A lackluster start from Team Bahamas saw them go down 8-1 after 2 quarters of play.

The Rake and Scrape Boyz dug deep and won the final two periods by a score of 5-4- the game ending at 12 goals to 6 in favour of the French Polynesian side.

Tahiti, the runners up in the 2015 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, have played a significant role in helping Team Bahamas prepare for next year's competition.

Beach soccer player of the year 2015, Heimanu Taiurui, along with fellow Tahitians Angelo Tchen and Fleur Labaste, are assistant trainers with Team Bahamas.

Bahamas coach Angelo Schirinzi led the Tahitian team to a 4th place finish when they hosted the tournament in 2013.

Looking ahead, the squad will play Switzerland again on Thursday evening, followed by another match versus Tahiti on Saturday.
