Scotiabank employee volunteers have been visiting various locations of the Royal Bahamas Police Force Summer Youth Camps over the past few weeks as part of a multi-year $50,000 partnership agreement with the Force.

Meeting and greeting hundreds of children, the Bank has partnered with Junior Achievement Bahamas to teach financial literacy to the kids followed by a pizza lunch, popsicles and other treats courtesy of Scotiabank and its volunteers.

“At Scotiabank, we focus our activities on being relevant and responsive at a very grassroots level to the needs of the communities in which we live and work,” said Maxine Seymour, Manager, Sponsorships and Philanthropy at Scotiabank.

“We particularly concentrate on helping youth in our communities to become better off and we depend on employee volunteers to make our efforts a success,” Seymour continued.

So far Scotiabank employees have visited the Central Division camp at C. R. Walker Senior High School; South-Central Division at A. F. Adderley Junior High School; and Northeastern Division at Claridge Primary School. Southern Division which meets at Stephen Dillet Primary School and the Carmichael Division camp at Garvin Tynes Primary School are scheduled to receive special visits and treats from Scotiabank in the coming week.
