Make the best of it

Let's face it, we all go through periods in life which are not to our liking as we traverse the ups and downs on the proverbial road to success. Now when things are not going too well in any phase of our life at home or at work, we always have a choice and that choice is to get into a very negative frame of mind, or to do as the title of today's article states and that is to make the best of it. Or as another well-known saying puts it, we need to make the best of a bad lot.

Yes indeed we do. Now you may say, well that's easier said than done. Well I certainly didn't say it's easy. In fact, if you're a regular reader of these articles, you may recall me writing an article titled "Life Ain't Easy" and that's a fact.

Let's face it, no matter how positive and upbeat we may be as we pursue our goals and objectives, there will inevitably be times when factors outside of our control may come into play, like the economy, the death of a loved one, etc., etc. However, when these types of events come into play, we then have a choice to either deal with them as best we can and thus not allow them to scuttle our plans to get ahead and be successful, or we can cave into these difficult circumstances and become negative by drowning ourselves in our sorrows, so to speak, thus becoming very negative in outlook, maybe even depressed to the point where we are at a complete standstill in our life. The choice is ours to make.

Yes my friend, please never, ever, lose sight of the fact, that everything in life is a matter of choice, for as the late Dr. Myles Monroe put it, "Even when you don't make a choice, you've made a choice, not to make a choice." So in conclusion, when things aren't going as planned in your life, please I implore you to make a resolution to as today's title puts it, make the best of it, and believe me, you'll eventually encounter much better times. Yes you will.
