Atlantis’ Marine & Water Park Operations Division is certainly making its presence felt in 2016 as far as community outreach efforts go. Recently team members in the division hosted their annual “Fun Day” at the Children’s Emergency Hostel.

Some 24 children in the Home, along with eight staff members, were on hand for the event. Following a word of prayer, the youngsters were treated to bouncing castle and water slide fun, as well as a craft table inviting them to use their imaginations and let creativity shine through, and a hoopla table and basketball hoop action giving them opportunities to win lots of cool prizes. Ben & Jerry’s donated yummy scoops of ice cream and there was also a snow cone machine to help the kiddies quench their thirst.

Team member Valentino Missick served as grill master for the day, flipping burgers and hotdogs, while Lifeguard Glenn Williams represented on the wheels of steel as deejay and Aquarium Curator Elgin Hepburn officiated the games.

At the close of the event, personal gifts were presented to each of the children in the Home.
