Argument leads to man being shot dead in Market Street area

POLICE are investigating a shooting incident that left one man dead early on Tuesday morning in Nassau.

According to officer in charge of the Central Detective Unit, Assistant Superintendent Clayton Fernander, the victim was walking through Woods Alley off Market Street, when he was approached by two men. An argument ensued which resulted in the man being shot several times; the suspects fled the area on foot.

Police have not released the identity of the victim.

This latest homicide takes the country’s murder count to 57 for 2016.
