Police Force, churc join forces on crime

The church and the police force have joined forces in a bid to deal with the vexing issue of crime.
Church leaders from various denominations met with National Security Minister Tommy Turnquest, Police Commissioner Ellison Greenslade and Deputy Commissioner Marvin Dames yesterday in hours-long meetings held at the New Covenant Baptist Church.
Commissioner Greenslade has agreed to meet with the church leaders once a month to inform them about what is going on in the country.
In an interview with The Nassau Guardian, Greenslade said the force is still very much concerned about the high numbers that are being recorded in the category of murder.
