BTC's MOU details revealed

The closely guarded memorandum of understanding (MOU) that the government signed more than two months ago with Cable and Wireless Communications for a 51 percent share of the Bahamas Telecommunication Company reveals that the government will have to pay a fee in order to make use of CWC’s brands and intellectual property.
“BTC will receive services from Cable and Wireless’ group of companies, and likely make use of a number of brands, trademarks and intellectual property,” said Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham, who tabled the MOU?and other documents related to the sale in the House of Assembly yesterday afternoon.
