Get over it!

It is a fact that far too many people are constantly living in the past. These kinds of extremely negative people for the most part seem to revel in mulling over in their mind and indeed constantly harping on the fact that some terrible event happened in the past both in their individual life and throughout the world for example -- a person's wife or husband dumped them and ran away with someone else never to be seen again. Now believe me, having actually been in a similar situation to this some years ago, it is extremely painful to put it mildly. However, life goes on, and I had to as today's title simply states it get over it and leave the past behind once and for all.

Let's say someone who has worked for a particular organization since they left school for all of their working life so far, suddenly gets unceremoniously laid off when new owners take over the business -- this too must be a very painful, hurtful experience. However, once again as stated before, life goes on and likewise you need to understand that as far as your previous life at work; well you need to get over it, and you need to prepare yourself mentally to move on to the next phase of your life, no matter how difficult and painful that may be.

My friend, we all need to realize that nothing just remains the same as it was years ago as everything keeps on moving along as life and the world is continually evolving. Now you need to leave the past behind and get in the flow of the present so that you can move on to a successful future.

Of course, many still insist on bringing up historical events which were extremely negative and reliving them like slavery, the Holocaust or the British occupation of Ireland. Once again will you please get this into your head, get over it. Yes indeed, no matter how much you think and talk about it, you can't change one iota of the past. Living in the past is a losing game -- believe me. So live today to the fullest, be totally positive and you will succeed.
