Govt to table BTC sale Memorandum of Understanding in Parliament

THE government will table the Memorandum of Understanding signed with Cable & Wireless for the $210 million sale of BTC when Parliament meets today.

Supplementary documents - related to the privatisation of BTC from 1999 to the present - are also expected to be made public when Parliament resumes at 3pm.

"I propose to table in the House a Memorandum of Understanding the Government has signed with Cable & Wireless for the sale of 51 per cent of BTC," said Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham during a brief sitting of Parliament yesterday.
