Bishop Eldon: pastor, carer and listener

BISHOP Michael Hartley Eldon, the first Bahamian Anglican Bishop of the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos, died yesterday at the Princess Margaret Hospital.

Tributes poured in for the popular minister for his "selfless service" which left an "indelible imprint" on the country.

Rev Laish Boyd, Bishop for the Diocese of The Bahamas and Turks and Caicos Islands, said: "Michael Eldon was a popular, beloved, gentle people's person.
