Caribbean Bottling Company (CBC), local producer of Coca-Cola, has always strived to be ever present in the community through donations and participation. This year is no different as CBC announces its continued support of the National Family Island Regatta. CBC has also made donations to the St. Valentine's Day Regatta thus far for the year.
"Caribbean Bottling Company (CBC) has been a long outstanding sponsor of the National Family Island Regatta. We are grateful and extremely pleased that Caribbean Bottling Company will once again partner with us at the 63rd National Family Island Regatta to make this year's event one of the best ever, and to keep this great Bahamian cultural tradition alive for future generations," explained Danny Strachan, chairman and commodore of the National Family Island Regatta organizing committee.
"CBC's reputation as a well-respected corporate citizen is well known throughout The Bahamas, and it continues to support positive and worthwhile activities that help to develop our communities. I encourage other corporate citizens to follow CBC's lead by supporting cultural activities that will lead to the growth and development of our communities," he noted.
"Regattas are fundamentally Bahamian, and as good corporate citizens we attempt to extend support to events/activities that support our Bahamian culture," said Cara Douglas, marketing manager, CBC. "Also to Mr. Strachan's point we work to ensure we align ourselves through sponsorships with cultural events and activities that lead to community development, both culturally and economically."
CBC supports the event again this year not just with a financial donation, but also by providing water and T-shirts for all of the sailors.
