The Department of Customs is refusing to release a shipment of goods imported earlier this week by businessman and former Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) MP Leslie Miller and is investigating to determine whether proper declarations were made, Customs Comptroller Glenn Gomez confirmed to The Nassau Guardian yesterday.
A source in Customs told The Guardian that there were a number of discrepancies related to the shipment that came in on Tuesday.
Customs is reportedly investigating to determine whether declared values on goods were accurate and whether there were declared values at all in some instances.
