David Adams, Manager of Customer Support Services and Nicole Henfield, Manager of Parking and Ground Transportation at Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA), recently graduated from Airports Council International’s (ACI) Airport Operations Diploma Program. Through their coursework, David and Nicole gained a broader understanding of Airside Operations, Terminal and Landside Operations and Airport Business Operations to help them successfully address the operational and business needs of LPIA as it continues its transformation into a leading 21st century airport.

David joined Nassau Airport Development Company (NAD) at its inception in January 2007 and advanced quickly through several customer service roles before being promoted to his current post in 2012. He manages NAD’s 8-person landscaping team and the airport’s landscaping and pest programs. He also manages the Automated Passport Control (APC) team that assists passengers travelling to the U.S. who use the APC kiosks. Nicole manages a 14-person team and oversees the day-to-day operations of the airport’s parking facilities. She also manages the ground transportation program that regulates policies and procedures of taxis, tour buses, and similar operators while working at LPIA.

Deborah Coleby, NAD’s Vice President of Operations, congratulated David and Nicole on their achievements and added, “David and Nicole are both highly valued team members. Nicole is a keen problem solver who continually demonstrates strong leadership ability and a passion for NAD and the aviation business. David is a well-rounded, exemplary team player and who is committed to service excellence and to getting the job done. They play important roles in maintaining the airport’s economic viability and its superior service level rankings among regional and global competitors. The new perspective gained through this program will certainly help them to meet the aviation challenges of the future in innovative ways.”

Airports Council International (ACI) is the only global trade representative of the world’s airports. Established in 1991, ACI represents airports interests with governments and international organizations such as ICAO, develops standards, policies and recommended practices for airports, and provides information and training opportunities to raise standards around the world.
