Man jailed for four years for housebreaking

A MAN will serve four years in prison after he pleaded guilty to 11 counts of housebreaking in the Freeport Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

Chris Ferguson, 29, of Eight Mile Rock, was first arraigned before Magistrate Debbye Ferguson on six counts of housebreaking. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two years at the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services in New Providence. He was later arraigned before Magistrate Charlton Smith on five counts of housebreaking. He pleaded guilty to those charges and was sentenced to two years for those crimes. The sentences will run consecutively.
