Atlantis, Paradise Island is yet again exercising its commitment as a good corporate citizen to ensure a better New Providence community and wider Bahamas for all. The mega-resort property recently pledged to give to two local organizations with much needed funding to assist in their most worthy efforts.

Once again teaming up with Pure Silk to donate to the Paradise Children’s Foundation, resort executives were on hand following the finale of the 2016 Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic to present a cheque worth $10,000 to that organization, which aims to assist local youth-focused organizations in hopes of improving the way of life for children in need in The Bahamas. Since its formation as a not-for-profit organization in 2009, Paradise Children’s Foundation has promoted charitable projects for the general benefit of children in The Bahamas to the tune of nearly $500,000.

Atlantis also chose the tournament’s final day to give to HeadKnowles, an organization formed in the wake of monster hurricane Joaquin which tore through the southern islands of The Bahamas, destroying much of what was in its path. HeadKnowles has gathered and dispersed aid to scores of residents affected by the storm in Long Island, Cat Island, Aklins, Crooked Island and Ragged Island. This latest donation to assist the victims of hurricane Joaquin was preceded by several others made to the Bahamas Red Cross.
