PCA 2016: $25K High Roller under way with 80+ players so far

There are three days left for the PCA 2016 festival and each one will feature a stage of the $25k High Roller. The ever popular and star-studded single re-entry event kicked off at noon today and has already attracted 80+ players. These include Team PokerStars Pros Andre Akkari and Eugene Katchalov as well as last year's runner-up Joe Kuether. Other poker heavyweights in the field include $100k Super High Roller winner Steve O'Dwyer, 2013 PCA $100k SHR champ Scott Seiver, EPT11 Grand Final €25k HR winner Charlie Carrel, 2012 WSOP Main Event champion Greg Merson, reigning WSOP Main Event champion/$100k SHR runner-up Joe McKeehen as well as EPT12 Malta €25k High Roller winner Mike McDonald, David Peters, Daniel Dvoress, Ole Schemion, Nick Petrangelo, Isaac Baron, Justin Bonomo, Oliver Busquet and Isaac Haxton. Will Molson, who took down the PCA $25k High Roller five year ago, is also playing.


Three time Super Bowl champion, fomer New England Patriots defensive tackle Richard Seymour is in the line-up as well.

Among those who won their seat via yesterday's satellite were LAPT Bahamas finalist Chad Eveslage, Tim Reilly and Matthew Volosevich.

All participants have a single re-entry option with late registration open until just before start of Day 2.

Last year, Ilkin Garibli from Azerbaijan beat a record-breaking 269-entry field to lift the trophy along with a $1,105,040 first prize.

All media attending the PCA are prohibited from any kind of gaming anywhere in the Bahamas for the duration of the event. This includes off-property casinos, online or in your hotel room.

PCA 2016
A record 104 tourneys are taking place at Atlantis during the 2016 PCA festival. Aside from the Super High Roller, second LAPT Bahamas Main Event (unlimited re-entries, starts January 7, now with reduced $2,200 buy-in) and PCA 2016 Main Event, there is also a $50k One-Day High Roller Single Re-Entry on January 9.
