Although the holidays may be over, the memories of Festival Noel are still lingering for Agave, who captured the Chef Noel title for a third time- two times back-to-back!

Seven restaurants competed in the 2015 Chef Noel culinary competition, which is a record entrance for the event. Despite the bad weather on the night, the turnout was excellent, garnering the event one of its best financial results too.

“I was very pleased to hear we had won the Chef Noel competition,” said Jasmine Sands, Sous Chef at Agave. “We’re thrilled that the BNT provides this opportunity for us to show off our skills each year. We would like to thank the BNT for inviting us to participate again and the guests for selecting us as the winners for the second year in a row.”

Participating along with Agave were Dive In Restaurant and Bar (UNEXSO), Newlife Natural Vegetation, Señor Frogs, Bahamas Adventures and caterers Better Than Roses and Chocolatess Island Delights, “We are so grateful for the participants of all restaurants, who made our 21st Festival Noel a huge success,” said Lakeshia Anderson, BNT Grand Bahama Parks Manager. “The scores were extremely close this year; however Agave came out as the guests’ favourite, so hats off to the Agave Team on their 2nd consecutive win as Top Chef!”

The BNT would like to extend a special thanks to the official sponsor of the Chef Noel completion, Kerrygold Butter, distributed by Bahamas Wholesale Agencies (BWA), who helped make it possible for the restaurants to prepare the food that kept Festival Noel attendees happy all night long.

“Even though we did not win, we will be back,” said Cesar Ochoa, General Manager, Bahamas Adventures. “This was our first year at Festival Noel and it was great. We work with the GB BNT daily as part of our tours in Freeport, and my staff and I were so proud to be a part of this.”

The GB branch reminds you to save the date for next year, December 2nd, as Festival Noel is always held on the first Friday of December and reminds you to join them on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to keep up with their work and more.
