Young women with real life challenges were challenged to see themselves more accomplished, even in their challenges, and encouraged to learn how to balance their difficulties during the New Image Young Leading Ladies Workshop. The non-denominational and inspirational workshop for young women between the ages of 13 and 25, and hosted by Tanya Sweeting, encouraged participants to support each other's drive while examining their own strengths and building on their dreams.

"The objective was to prick the minds of young ladies, and create an awareness of how successful and accomplished they can become both spiritually and physically," said Sweeting. "It also gave persons a time to reflect, think and write down some of their abilities now and what they wish to develop for the future."

The workshop held at the Conference Center of One Source, Southwest Plaza enabled the ladies to view themselves as God does -- to be great, to be a leader in every area of their life. Sweeting spoke to them on the topic "Put on the new you" in terms of being vibrant, innovative, modern, progressive and unique. Other topics were presented to the young ladies included "The balancing act" by Lashornda O'Bainyear, "Write the vision" by Bishop A. Samuel Rolle of Peniel Worship Centre and "Run for Your Life", by Rochelle Johnson of Heritage Baptist Church.
