Red Cross Ball

Wed, Dec 9th 2015, 04:33 PM

The annual Ball of the Bahamas Red Cross Society, the premier ball of the country, will be held on Saturday, the 30th of January, 2016, at the Melia Nassau Beach, Cable Beach. Again this year, Her Excellency, Dame Marguerite Pindling, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, has graciously agreed to lend her patronage for the event, along with The Rt. Hon. Perry G. Christie, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, and Mrs. Christie. The theme this year is Passion. Pride. Pizzazz.

Tickets are priced at $250.00 and the dress code is Black Tie.

The evening will begin with cocktails at 7pm, followed by dinner at 8pm. We will be providing the BEST entertainment in the country. The evening will begin with our cocktail hour, and entertainment for this segment will be provided by the Royal Bahamas Police Force Pop Band. Our patrons will be serenaded during dinner with music provided by the world renowned Lou Adams Orchestra.

Our major entertainment attraction for the evening will be Veronica Bishop backed by Ira Storr who will take us through a part of the evening with swinging big band dinner music. Rounding out the evening will be the hot sounds of ‘Spank Band’ with lively music for us to dance the night away!

The excitement continues throughout the night with lots of prizes (including a raffle offering groups of gifts valued at thousands of dollars for the low ticket price of $10.00.)

This year’s honoree will be announced along with our Corporate Donor Award winner.

Proceeds of the Ball will assist the Red Cross in not only defraying operational expenses, but to continue and expand upon current programs, such as Meals on Wheels, After School Care, Disaster Relief, Junior Red Cross, and others too numerous to mention.

We look forward to seeing all of you on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Independence Ballroom, Melia Nassau Beach Hotel on Cable Beach. Tickets may be reserved by visiting or calling the Bahamas Red Cross Headquarters on John F. Kennedy Drive at telephone number 242.323.7370 or by emailing us at directorgeneral@bahamasredcross.com or redcross@bahamas.net.bs.
