I remember well some years ago, a particular young person who was obviously extremely intelligent and it was being predicted by all who knew him, that he was going to go a long way in life. He did well at school with his studies and was involved in all sorts of other activities like sports. However, when he left school and moved into the commercial sector as he commenced the first of a string of jobs, he did not do too well at all, in spite of the predictions of all who knew him, his family and friends, that he would go a long way in life.
He got married rather early, but the marriage did not last long at all as he divorced his wife after just 18 months of marriage. It was just as well as there were no children during his short stormy marriage. He then seemed to go from job to job, all of his employers initially having high hopes that he would do well, however, the pattern always appeared to be the same, after a short period he would either quit because he was not getting along with his supervisors and managers, or else he would be politely asked to resign as he was just not working out as anticipated.
Finally, after a broken marriage and several jobs, most of which failed, a friend recommended that he go for counseling, where the counselor zeroed in on the main reason for this young man's constant failures in both his personal and professional life. In a nutshell, his attitude stank. That's right, he had a terrible attitude which caused him to continually fail.
Yes, My Friend, in the long run as the title of this article simply and succinctly puts it 'It's All About Attitude'.....yes it is, it's about cultivating a positive, upbeat, pleasant, cooperative attitude which will turn people on rather than turn people off. As that well known saying puts it "Your Attitude Will Determine Your Altitude" or how high up the proverbial ladder of success you will climb in life. So in conclusion My Friend, you need to develop and display the right attitude and believe me, you will succeed.
