Starting on March 30, traffic will flow south on Market Street and north on Baillou Hill Road between Wulff Road and Robinson Road.
The changes will include sidewalks, road paving, better drainage, street lights, signs and road markings. The shift is expected to improve traffic flow and road safety and is part of the $120 million contract with with Jose Cartellone Construction Civiles Construction of Argentina for improving major intersections, rebuilding current road systems and adding new roads.
The switch is the first phase of the new one-way system, which will extend south to Duke Street in the case of Baillou Hill Road and Shirley Street in the case of Market Street.
