Naomi Blatch Preschool celebrated its first annual reading in the park event under the theme, "Mother Goose on the Loose with a Passion for Early Literacy". Students performed renditions of fairy tales like "Three Blind Mice", "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "Little Miss Muffet" for parents and officials from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. A student dressed as Snow White herself, read from the book "Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs" while "Charlie the Yellow Bahamian" entertained the crowd with games and emphasized the importance of reading and parental involvement to his audience. Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Deputy Director of Education Marcellus Taylor encouraged the school's faculty to remain focused on early literacy.
