MAX, the channel part of the HBO/MAX family dedicated to the best independent films, series and documentaries, transports viewers to the alpine village of Les Revenants – the French drama that caused a sensation around the world following the first season debut. The series premieres its second season on Wednesday, November 4th at 21hrs AST*.

Based on the 2004 French film of the same name, Les Revenants tells the story of a peaceful village in the mountains that is transformed when several of its residents, long presumed dead, reappear. Named les revenants, these residents have not aged and are unaware of what has happened; and as each tries to resume their lives, terrible murders and strange phenomena begin to occur.

Les Revenants
include: Simon, a young man who was about to marry before his apparent suicidal death; Camille, a young woman of 15 who was killed in a bus accident and her mother, Claire, separated from her husband, Jerome; Julie, a nurse attacked by a murderer; and Victor, a mysterious child who follows Julie believing she is his fairy godmother.

The second season tells the story of Adele, a young woman about to give birth to Simon’s child, and the residents who decide to stay as the town becomes flooded. The dam has been put under surveillance, and the military is providing logistical support to the inhabitants.

Meanwhile, rumors about les revenants are still circulating, though officials do not take them seriously; however, as time passes, new details emerge confirming that a new wave of resurrection is imminent.

Directed by Frédéric Goupil Farbice Gobert and produced by Caroline Bejo, Jimmy and Barbara Letellier Desmarais, the second season of Les Revenants is composed of eight episodes which can been seen on MAX in the Caribbean.
