Youth recognized at Ebenezer Baptist Church

The youthful members of Ebenezer Baptist Church were reminded that faith without works is dead, and that they must always do their part. They were encouraged to watch their talks, to be careful of what they allowed to infiltrate their mind, and to watch their habits, because they would direct the paths of their lives and their characters. This lesson came as the church celebrated Youth Sunday under the theme #Youthmatter at the church in Farmer's Hill, Exuma, commemorating National Youth Month.

Reverend Stephen Smith reminded them that they are instruments, but that God has the power, and as such, they have to connect to God. He further told the youth that do not have the monopoly over life, and to remember their creator in the days of their youth. The pastor also encouraged parents to not show favoritism to their children, and to love them fairly; as he reminded the children to obey their parents by showing honor to their father and mother.

Rev. Smith reminded the Ebenezer congregation that the young people are the future and that God uses them for his purpose and glory. Tonnelle Kelly and Kaymika Milford were the usherettes during the service; Ashley Williams read the scripture and Jaleesa Moncur and Nikasmon Thurston serenaded the congregation with an instrumental rendition.
