Bamboo Town MP Branville McCartney said he will wait to see the memorandum of understanding the government signed with Cable and Wireless Communications (CWC) in December, as well as the details of the proposed sale of 51 percent of the Bahamas Telecommunications Company (BTC) before he gives his support in Parliament.
“I cannot make a decision without having the facts,” McCartney said as he walked through his constituency touring shantytowns yesterday (see page five). “I don’t have all of the facts.”
The government has promised to make all the details of the controversial deal public before it comes up for debate in the House of Assembly.
