'No collusion' between labour movement and political parties over BTC sale

UNION leaders yesterday claimed there is no "collusion" between the labour movement and political parties opposed to the government's planned sale of BTC.

Jennifer Issacs-Dotson, president of the National Congress of Trade Unions (NCTU), said there has been "no pressure" or "coaxing" of union officials by political operatives.

She said the issue was not about "party politics", while it might be a "political issue", when responding to questions about whether the labour movement had become political in light of the march and voter registration drive held yesterday.
