Business License Goes Online

Say goodbye to standing in lines and completing Business Licence applications manually. Effective 4th August, 2015 the Business Licence process will be computerized on the Online Tax Administration System (OTAS).

What's new and what does it mean for you?

After business owners have created an online user account via https://vat.revenue.gov.bs/ they will be able to log-in to complete the registration for Business Licence, Value Added Tax (VAT) or both.

New options relating to Business Licence include:

Entering your business licence registration details for e.g. (Business operated from a home - Yes/No)

Applying for one or more business licences for e.g. (Click 'Add New Licence' button to create a new licence)

The addition of the business licence section to OTAS creates a convenient online experience for taxpayers. OTAS users can easily complete business licence and VAT registrations in one online environment, at any place and at anytime with internet access.

Note: Business Licence operations are now located in new facilities at the Department of Inland Revenue (CRA) in the Shops at Carmichael Plaza, Carmichael and Palmetto Roads.
