Bahamas Water Polo Make a Splash in Budapest, Hungary

The Bahamas National Water Polo Team is currently training and competing in Budapest, Hungary. The team members, aged between 7 and 14 years of age, have been training all last week with their Hungarian Coach Laszlo Borbely and local host team, the ‘Happy Hippos’ at the Boros Sports Complex in the South-West of the city.

On Wednesday the team moves to the Hajos Alfred National Swimming Pool located on the famous Margaret Island to train and play against the Budapest local water polo team, 'Complex.'

Through this training camp The Bahamas National Water Polo Team will gain invaluable experience playing against top class Hungarian teams and learning first-hand about international standards. This will further build on their strengths and confidence in preparation for the upcoming competitions in the U.S. and the Caribbean region.

The Bahamian team has been in Hungary since Wednesday 15th July experiencing the sights, culture and food throughout the city and surrounding countryside, including a side trip to Vienna. Now, training starts in earnest with daily 6-hour stints on non-match days, completing on Friday. Photo Caption:
