No More Slop Buckets For Fox Hill Inmates
In two to three weeks, slop buckets will be a thing of the past at Her Majesty's Prison. Waterless "composting toilets" will be arriving to replace the lack of indoor plumbing.

As an ongoing effort to improve HMP, Fox Hill 220 toilets will be installed. The prison has been labeled as unhealthy and dehumanizing by observers.

HMP Superintendent Dr Elliston Rahming says the toilets were ordered about six weeks ago but should be arriving in about two or three weeks. He estimates it will take from now to about Christmas to install all the toilets.

These toilets cost the government $251,297. One single waste bag can be used by up to four inmates and can last for a month.

In June, officials will release the upgrades made on the Female Correctional Centre.
