Jury picked in murder, attempted murder case

A jury was yesterday impaneled in the case of a 35-year-old man accused of murdering a woman with whom he allegedly had a relationship and the attempted murder of her male friend.

Oman Ferguson, of Munnings Drive, is accused of killing Tracey Rolle and attempting to murder Renardo Moncur on January 12, 2013.

Rolle, who was wearing an ankle bracelet, and Moncur had just arrived at a home in South Beach around 4:30 a.m. when a man kicked in the front door and began stabbing them.

Justice Vera Watkins released the jury until Thursday at the request of Ferguson's lawyer Ian Cargill.
