A man who was out on bail on a murder charge and being electronically monitored was shot dead on Sunday night, Chief Superintendent Paul Rolle said. Rolle said police were alerted by monitoring personnel that the man had not moved from a certain location for a while. He said police found the victim's body in bushes off Cox Way, off East Street South, after 10:30 p.m.

Rolle said the man, a resident of Coconut Grove, was shot to the head and torso.

"We are appealing to persons who would have any information with this latest homicide to reach out to police and help us move this investigation forward," he said at the scene.

"We believe that the person responsible may have been driving a Nissan vehicle, possibly a Sentra."

The victim was on bail in connection with a murder that occurred on Abaco in January 2014.

The latest killing was the 71st murder to occur for 2015.
