Activities for the Miss Teen Bahamas International 2015 kicked off in a fabulous way with our famous ‘Glamour Shoot’! International guest photographer CJ Cromwell from Canada, flew in just to embrace the opportunity to work with our teen delegates in this year’s pageant. ‘Mr. Magic’ behind the lens endeavored to take the thirteen ladies places only their dream personality dared to venture as seen in the flashy vibrant water-felt photos.

The back drop of the photo shoot was the beautifully appointed luxury Ocean West Boutique Hotel, situated West Bay Street. The once luxurious mansion turned plush small resort get-away, owned and operated by Dr. Veronica McIver, accommodated the all-day Hollywood look and feel for this year’s glam shot. Imagine how the dolled-up ladies not only where treated but the excitement of being in the lap of luxury for the day.

Our hair and makeup team were ready and geared to ensure that the beautiful bevy of teenage beauties still maintained their youthful look while at the same time the pageant aspirants was emerging and being perfected.

Before the day had ended, the gracious host of the mansion did not allow the ladies to leave without a surprise treat of a delightful lunch and beverages service…and of course they ate, and they ate, and they ate! Wow, for a quick few moments, they forget that they were pageant ladies!

Weeks earlier, the young ladies started their Communication and Public Speaking sessions, with Mr. Shawn Forbes and Ms. Kenya Smith. There was a Social Etiquette session with First Lady of Mt Tabor Church Mrs. Patrice Ellis, Make-up Classes with Mr. Dario Sanchez, and of course, Modelling and Dance rehearsal with the MTBI team. There are additional workshops and sessions to be completed including Film Production, Financial Management, Health and Nutrition as well as Self-Defense.
