THE Bahamas Association of Athletic Associations (BAAA) is scheduled to hold its annual year-ending awards luncheon 2pm Sunday at the Sheraton resort, Cable Beach.
The event is being held under the patronage of the Golden Girls - Sevatheda Fynes, Chandra Sturrup, Pauline Davis-Thompson, Debbie Ferguson-McKenzie and Eldece Clarke - for their victory in the women's 4 x 100 metre relay at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia.
During the luncheon, an independent committee will select the most outstanding athletes - both male and female and juniors and seniors in track and field, the coaches and officials for the year. Below are some of the nominees:
