Allow yourself to fail

I don't know about you, but I've heard many people over the years say something like this "I will not allow myself to fail". Now on the surface, that may indeed sound like an excellent way in which to live one's life. However, sometimes in life it is actually necessary for a person to fail in order for something important to be revealed to them. Now please don't get me wrong here today. I'm certainly not advocating that you start to think about failure and thus actually invite it into your life and affairs. Oh no, we of course remain positive and always anticipate that we will reach our predetermined goals and objectives and thus be very successful at all that we undertake in life.

However, we also realize, that failing from time to time is inevitable as we travel the road of life, and thus we do not become devastated when we temporarily fail at something. Instead, we pause briefly when we fail and endeavor to ascertain exactly why we failed, learn an invaluable lesson in living, and then resume our journey to the proverbial Success City. Yes indeed, failure as I have stated many times before in these articles over the years is an integral part of life which hopefully teaches us something which is indeed very valuable which actually assists us in finally succeeding.

But D. Paul the title of today's article is 'Allow Yourself To Fail', what exactly do you mean by that? Well some people are so driven by insecurity that they take failure very hard; they become distraught, devastated when they fail at anything. Now these kinds of people obviously have very low self-esteem, thus failure in anything is extremely painful for them to experience. People with high self-esteem will realize that their failure is not the end of the road as it reveals some important truth to them. So when they fail, they pick themselves up, regroup and proceed with renewed purpose and vigor to Success City.
