ALUMNI MEMBERS - Alumni members of Texas Southern University were in Nassau and travelled to Grand Bahama to establish a branch of the organization here. Accompanied by president for the Bahamas chapter, Terry Archer (left), the group participated in the official launch of Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival at Taino Beach on Friday night. While there, the group was introduced to Prime Minister of The Bahamas, the Rt. Hon. Perry Christie (centre).

VISITORS FROM FINLAND - A group from Finland were also on hand to participate in the official launch of Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival on Friday night at Taino Beach. The two-day event, which has been hailed a success, attracted thousands of residents and visitors.
