The Value Added Tax (VAT) Department wishes to cordially invite the public to a presentation given by the College of The Bahamas students on their findings relative to the implementation of VAT.

The presentation is scheduled for tonight at 6:00 p.m. at the Harry C. Moore Library, Oakes Field Campus and is a first quarter review from the perspectives of customers, businesses and students.

The ACCA 415 Class, which is comprised of fourth year students, was divided into five groups - East, West, North, South and Central – and conducted surveys among taxpayers and consumers.

Student surveys have been taken from various tertiary institutions throughout Nassau as to its impact on tuition, fees, and other academic supplies.

Students have engaged this research to inform the college community and the country as to how the populace views the implementation of VAT and the resultant impact.
