Police yesterday released the identities of two men who were murdered on Tuesday. Chima Uche Bain, 24, of Lady Slipper Avenue and Allington Thompson, 44, of Nassau Village were killed in separate incidents.

Bain was shot in the head at 9:30 p.m. while sitting in his 1997 Honda Prelude at the junction of East Dennis Court and Graham Drive, Yellow Elder Gardens.

He attempted to drive away, but crashed into a parked car, police said. Thompson was stabbed to death around 9 p.m. following an argument at a home on Roberts Street, Nassau Village.

A teen relative was taken into custody in that matter. The killings pushed the murder count to 41. This time last year, there were 31 murders, representing a 32 percent increase.
