Disciplined thinking

As all of my regular readers will be aware of, I have been most fortunate to be able to study with and learn from so many great teachers over the years -- experts in behavior modification, motivation and personal development -- people like Earl Nightingale, the dean of personal motivation; Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, author of "The Power Of Positive Thinking"; Dr. Denis Waitley, author of "The Psychology of Winning", Dr. Maxwell Maltz, author of the definitive book on self-image psychology "Psycho-Cybernetics" and Dr. Paul Masters, president and founder of The University of Metaphysics, and many more.

I've also had the pleasure of interviewing some extremely successful people for my "Success Files" series which can be accessed by logging onto my website at www.dpaulreilly.com, from whom I've also acquired great knowledge, insight and wisdom. Now let me tell you, that all of these people, authors and experts, emphasize the vital importance of discipline if a person wishes to consistently succeed in life.

That's right, you can't expect to even get to first base so to speak without self-discipline. So that's a given which I'm sure all will agree with me on, you must be a very disciplined person if you really wish to succeed in life at anything.

Now in this particular article I'd like to concentrate on a person's thinking, as literally everything in life commences with a thought in the mind, which we then nurture and finally bring to fruition. So thinking is vital to the whole success process in life. So, let's get back to discipline and apply it daily to our thinking so that we will be consistently positive and upbeat thus believing implicitly that our goals will become reality in our life. This requires as today's title simply states it, disciplined thinking.

Yes my friend, if you wish to be successful, across the board, you most definitely need disciplined thinking each and every day of your life. To do this consistently, that is discipline your thinking, you've got to employ thought monitoring. Thought monitoring means that you're thinking about what you're thinking 24/7. This may sound difficult, but it's not.

You simply watch your every thought as it enters your mind. If it's a negative thought you banish it from your fertile mind and immediately replace it with a positive thought. Yes indeed, if you wish to be consistently successful in all areas of your life, you must always have disciplined thinking.
