Tribune reader pledges to help mother and daughter find home for Christmas

A GRIEVING single mother forced out of her home when she was unable to pay the rent was moved to tears by the generosity of a Tribune reader who has pledged to help her and her daughter find a new home for Christmas.

Baha Mar executive Richard English, from Winter Park, Florida, was so moved by The Tribune's article about Theresa Gibson and her daughter being forced out of their rented apartment, he offered to pay for them to move into a new home and cover her rent for the first three months.

They shared a tearful embrace as they met for the first time in the lobby of the Sheraton hotel in Cable Beach.
