10k drug bust at LPIA

Police confiscated a bag containing $10,000 worth of marijuana at Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) on Thursday afternoon. Police said officers from the K-9 Unit intercepted a piece of "suspicious luggage" that came on board a Caribbean Airline flight from Jamaica.

During a search of the bag, police uncovered 10 pounds of marijuana. However, no was arrested in connection with the seizure. Police also seized seven pounds of marijuana during the execution of a search warrant at a house in Coral Harbour around 4 p.m. on Thursday. Officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit made one arrest in connection with that drug bust.
