Humility is essential

Now let me commence here today by restating exactly who you are in reality. You my friend are an awesomely talented, very special and absolutely unique child of God, born in his image and likeness -- literally designed by the creator of the universe to shine brightly and thus be an outstanding success. So this is who you are, and you should at all times be extremely proud of whom you are as you strive each and every day to achieve your goals and objectives. However, here's a word of caution.

As you use your God-given talents which God supplied you with in abundance, and thus start to achieve great success in all areas of your life, always be absolutely sure to keep both feet on the ground, as that well-known saying puts it. Never get too big for your boots, so to speak. In a nutshell, be sure to remain humble at all times. By doing this, remaining truly humble as you progress up the ladder of success, you will display to one and all, that knowing exactly who you are, you are full to the brim with genuine humility.

That's right, people with high self-esteem never have a need to be loud mouths, to be arrogant, for deep down within themselves they know who they are and how great they are, thus they are at peace with themselves and those around them. However, those who allow their success to go to their heads and who thus become very overbearing loud mouths are really communicating that they have low self-esteem.

As Dr. Denis Waitley puts it in his great book "The Psychology of Winning," "Those who have to shout for attention are really looking for attention." Yes they are, because they have low self-esteem.

Yes my friend, as today's title puts it, humility is essential as you progress through life achieving your goals and objectives with great ease. Someone said to me one day, D. Paul how do you remain humble when you become really successful and thus very popular; how do you stop your success from going to your head, so to speak? Well you do it by thanking God daily for the wonderful, unique talents that he gave you, which together with his divinely supplied ideas, energy, stamina, determination and discipline assisted you in being the success you presently are. So acknowledging exactly where your success comes from will indeed help you to stay humble at all times. Yes it will.
