AG's Office drops murder case

The Office of the Attorney General yesterday informed a magistrate that it will no longer prosecute Raymond Hanna for the murder of Cleveland Weir.
Police alleged that Hanna and Dudley Johnson are responsible for the August 27, 2010 murder of Weir at his home on Fowler Street.
Weir was shot in the chest when he opened the door to his home as two men were robbing the participants in a gambling game.
Darnell Dorsette, a prosecutor in the Office of the Attorney General, told Magistrate Ancella Evans-WIlliams that the murder charge had been withdrawn against Hanna.
However, the case against Johnson will proceed. He will appear before Senior Justice Jon Isaacs for an arraignment on January 14.
