The Hon. Dr. Daniel Johnson, Minister of Youth Sports & Culture announced the kickoff of Junkanoo Ticket Sales – Friday, December 5. The 27th Annual Junior Junkanoo Parade is scheduled for Saturday, December 13, beginning at 2:00 p.m., Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium, and will feature 23 schools from New Providence, Abaco, and Eleuthera. Four private schools are joining in the parade for the first time: they are Forest Heights Academy, Abaco; Akrephan International Academy, Nassau; Mt. Carmel Preparatory Academy, Nassau; and Faith United Academy, Nassau.

For the second time, the Parade will choose a King and Queen in each category, and the prize of laptops will go directly to those winning students.
