They don't like you -- so what

Now as all of my most valued readers will be fully aware of, I'm continually advocating the need to be positive in outlook, thus knowing and believing that everything is indeed possible, provided we believe it is possible, and of course do the work necessary to make what we believe a reality in our life. However, let me now tell you about something which really is impossible, and that's to insist that everyone likes you. Yes my friend, you need to fully understand, that no matter how hard you may try, there are some people who will never like you.
That's right, no matter how successful you become, or no matter how hard you try to please some people, the reality is, that they will still not like you. But my friend, you've got to realize that this is life, and as I've stated on many occasions in the past, trying to get everyone to like you is really a "fool's game" which no one can win, believe me.
So what I want you to understand here today is this -- the reason that someone does not like you is usually because of their own problems and not because you did anything to make them not like you. You need to therefore adopt the attitude expressed in today's title -- they don't like me -- so what. If someone doesn't like you, please don't let it bother you, just let it go for one thing is for sure, you cannot get inside someone else's head and make them like you. This really is an impossibility.
I had a pizza delivered to me at my home the other day and when the delivery person got out of his car and gave me the pizza he said "Is this the great D. Paul Reilly? I really love your program." I thanked him for his compliment. However, let me be perfectly honest with you, I've also heard many people say many derogatory things about me like "There he goes again with all that positive nonsense he talks about endlessly."
My friend, you cannot win everyone over to your side, so you need to develop the kind of mindset that is quite comfortable in saying they don't like me -- so what.
