The much anticipated match-up between the undefeated pennant winning St Cecilia's Strikers and the second place Our Lady's Blue Flames came through to form.

During the Catholic Diocesan Primary Schools sudden death basketball playoffs yesterday at Loyola Hall, the Strikers and the Blue Flames secured their berth in the best-of-three championship scheduled to start today.

Rising an impressive 10-0 regular season record, St Cecilia's struck past the fourth place defending champions St Bede's Crushers 29-10, while Our Lady's held off the third place Xavier's Giants, 31-23.
