Scotiaban Aids the Hearing-Impaired on their 50th Anniversary

In keeping with its ongoing commitment to the advancement of education in The Bahamas, Scotiabank presented the Centre for the Deaf with a special gift to mark their 50th anniversary.

Scotiabank’s Senior Manager for Marketing and Public Relations, Ms. Leah R. Davis, said “Scotiabank applauds The Bahamas Red Cross and Department of Education on the stellar work of the Centre for the Deaf over the past half century. Through our Bright Future philanthropic program, we aim to be relevant and responsive to the needs of the local community at the grassroots level. The hearing-impaired are special to us. We have proudly supported them over the past years through an annual donation to the Centre.”

Scotiabank, among other partners, were recognized by the Centre for the Deaf for its outstanding community involvement at an anniversary Awards Banquet held this past Saturday, November 1 at The British Colonial Hilton.
